I came to Dr. Dischinger experiencing excruciating shoulder pain, the worst pain I had ever experienced.  Because of the pain, I had very limited range of motion.  Through intensive manual treatment, Dr. Dischinger has eliminated the pain and restored my range of motion.  My shoulder functions normally and I am not experiencing any pain.  The change has greatly enhanced the quality of my life.

While I'm not a Physical Therapist, I can still appreciate Dr. Dischinger's technical skills.  He walks a fine line between pushing me (when it hurt) and yet not pushing too hard to cause additional injury.  He is very careful not to overstretch my muscles.  He also massages my shoulder muscles which (to my limited understanding) increased blood flow and increase my range of motion.  Through the massage he also worked through the residual scar tissue which resulted from a recent surgery.

After enduring ten years of disabling pain, several epidural injections, and chiropractic manipulations, I was facing surgery. My primary care physician referred me to Drew Dischinger of Sport and Spine Therapy, as a final attempt to alleviate the lower back pain.

After a few visits I, began to find the discomfort dissipating. Drew trained me to exercise and stretch properly at the beginning of each day. By following his coaching technique each morning, I experience a pain free day, all day. I feel ten years younger.

Mechanical Headaches develop due to problems with the upper cervical spine. Many times, these headaches can be eliminated and prevented through proper cervical treatment.

How do I know if my headaches are mechanical?

  1. Does positioning or movements of you head or neck affect your symptoms in anyway?
  2. Does the movement of your head or neck feel limited during your symptoms?
  3. Do your headaches come on for no apparent reason?

** For treatment of mechanical headaches it is important to have symptoms prior to and during treatment.
